EPL: Salah reveals only thing Mourinho told him after joining Liverpool


Liverpool ace, Mohamed Salah, has disclosed what Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho told him after joining Liverpool from AS Roma.

The 25-year-old played under Mourinho at Chelsea but made just 19 appearances before being sent on loan spells to Fiorentina and Roma.

According to the Egyptian international he spoke to Mourinho twice since moving to Anfield and the United boss said he was ‘happy’ that  he was thriving on Merseyside.

“I did meet him twice – in our match here at Anfield [Liverpool vs Manchester United] and in the other match in Manchester,” Salah told Egypt Today.

“He told me that he is happy with what I am doing. So, I thanked him. We didn’t talk much; I just said ‘hi’ to him and he told me that he was happy for me.”

Meanwhile, Salah has broken the record of scoring the most number of goals in a 38-game Premier League season, scoring 44 goals in 51 appearances for the Reds this term.

The forward, had already won the Premier League Golden Boot, the PFA Player of the Year, Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year award and Liverpool’s own Player of the Year prize.

Salah has sent warning to Real Madrid ahead of the Champions League final slated for May 26 in Kiev.
