Super Eagles Goalkeeper Ezenwa Joins Enyimba From IfeanyiUba


Super Eagles goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa has agreed to join former Nigeria Professional Football League champions Enyimba on a one-year deal, reports NationReformer.com.

Ezenwa was rumoured to be set for a move abroad following the expiration of his contract with FC IfeanyiUbah at the end of last season but he has now decided to link up with the former African champions.

“Ezenwa has agreed terms with us. He will join join us in Kano next week where we’ll be playing in a pre-season tournament ahead of the Super Six competition,” a source at the club informed NationReformer.com.

“He is an experienced goalkeeper and a good addition to our team. We hope his arrival will bring luck to the team and help us challenge for honours next season.”

Ezenwa will challenge Theophilus Afelokhai and Ghana international goalkeeper Fatau Dauda for a starting berth
in the team.

Ezenwa, who previously featured for Sharks, Ocean Boys and Sunshine Stars, was in goal for the Super Eagles in Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon, Zambia and Algeria.
