How Super Eagles Escaped Nightmare World Cup Draw in Russia
Nigerians confidence is on the high that the Super Eagles will make Africa proud after the Friday FIFA world Cup draw.
Before the draw, Coach Gernor Rohr in an interview os Super Sport tactically spilled the fear that he would not mind any country in the group stage but however mentioned that Germany, Spain and England could be a nightmare if the super Eagles are peered in the same group with the top football nation countries.
But it was a ‘favourable draw’ to caption the positve feelings of Nigeria after the Super Eagle escaped ‘group of death’ unlike Morocco in Group B with Portugal, Spain and Iran or Group F which has Germany, Mexico, Sweden and South Korea.
Another African country who after the draw was counted lucky like Nigeria is Egypt, though at a point theya will face the host country as they are in Group A along side Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Uruguay.
In Group H which has one of the african representatives (Poland, Senegal, Colombia, Japan) there is very 50-50 chance that Senegal will be one of the two teams that will successfully scale the qualification huddle in the group.
Who says Tunisia cannot cannot make an upset being in Group G. Belgium, Panama, Tunisia, England make up the teams that will slug it out. Though analysts will pick Belgium and England but ‘anything can happen’ to borrow the popular football palance.
Meanwhile that African giants, Nigeria have been drawn in the same group as Argentina for the fifth time in their six World Cup tournaments means that Gernor Rohr side has a familiar foe in the group stage.
The Super Eagles are in Group D together with, Iceland and Croatia, Nigeria and Argentina

The fourt was at SOUTH AFRICA 2010 were the eagles also (LOST 1-0) before losing again at BRAZIL 2014 by (LOST 3-2) in a goal thriller match.
At RUSSIA 2018 the national team will face the Lionel Messi side for the sixth time as the last opponent for their group matches. All fingers will be crossed for that particular encounter knowing full well that the Nigeria national team beat Argentina 3-1 in a historic friendly match.
