Conte’s next destination revealed as talks of Chelsea exit intensifies

Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte is ‘eager’ to leave the club for a second stint as coach of the Italian national side.

The Italian Football Association disclose this amidst growing speculation over the future of Conte as Chelsea manager.

With reports already suggesting he won’t stay beyond this summer, recent results have put pressure on the Italians position.

A 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth on Wednesday followed a recent League Cup semi-final loss to Arsenal

The former Juventus manager has been linked with numerous roles, with the coach believed to fancy a return to his native Italy.

The Italian FA has now fuelled those rumours with the head of the organisation, Roberto Fabbricini saying Conte was ‘eager’ to return as Italy coach.

Conte managed Italy before being hired by Chelsea after Euro 2016.

Fabbricini said, “The names are the ones you know.

“[Roberto] Mancini was in Rome but we didn’t contact him, Conte seems eager to wear the national shirt again, [Carlo] Ancelotti opens and closes the door and [Claudio] Ranieri isn’t out either.

“No one is in pole position.”
