Stepmother dips her 1-year-old stepson’s hands in hot water for eating her food

A stepmother was arrested for dipping her stepson’s hands in hot water because he ate her food.

Khadijat Adams, from Oboroke Ebe-ba in Ihima Okehi LGA of Kogi State, scalded 18-month-old Buhari on Dec 15, 2017, at Chukuku Kuje Area Council, Abuja.

According to Muhammad Jamiu Ada-eiza who shared the story, Buhari has been in the stepmother’s care because his biological mother is estranged from her husband and had to leave without her child. The stepmother is believed to be pregnant with her own child.

The stepmother was arrested by the police on the day she attacked her stepson but was released on bail on Tuesday after the little boy’s mom said she will not be pressing charges. Also, the family and community have agreed to resolve the issue amicably.
