Suicide bombers hit Konduga, kill 14


At least 17 persons have been killed and scores of civilian injured when multiple bombers believed to be members of the Boko Haram terrorist group strucked in Konduga local government area of Borno State last night, rescue workers said.

The blasts occurred at fish Market (Kasuwan kifi) In Sabon Gari, konduga town at 8pm as three bombers stormed the area and detonated IEDs, killing 14 civilian mostly children and injuring 60 people.

Rescue workers who pacitipated in the evacuation of victims told Daily Trust that most of the victims were children and women.

“It occurred in three locations, 14 people were killed mostly children and women.

“We have evacuated 60 people with critical injuries to Maiduguri last night,” a rescue worker said.

A source at the State Specialist Hospital confirmed that many injured persons were received last night from the Konduga attacks.

No official statements from the police yet as at the time of filling this reports.
